At the young age of 18, and shortly after receiving my draft notice for the Vietnam War, I composed and sent the following poem to my lonely high school sweetheart.

Time Has Been Short,
Yet We Have Gone Far
We Know So Little,
Yet We Feel So Much.
Where We Are Going,
Neither of Us Knows.
But I Am Happy,
We Are Traveling This Journey Together.

Now, 36 years later, we are still happily married. And, our love and respect for each other grows daily. With God's guidance and many blessings, we are still happy and our journey continues until death do us part.
