I am a Portrait Artist from the Black Hills. If you are looking for an individual Portrait Drawing or a family Portrait Drawing, you have come to the right place. I specialize in turning any personal photo into an Original Unique Portrait Drawing.
Being able to capture a person's expression from a memorable moment and portray that feeling in a recognizable way provides a relationship between the Artist and the portrait's emotion. The personal experience I have when I create the portrait is shown by the various techniques I have developed over the years. I call my Drawing Sytle Soft Photo Realism - Soft for the shading techniques I use; Photo Realism for the exact detail I maintain when drawing. Once I capture the person's eyes, the Portrait Comes To Life and looks back at me like a real person.
I am Dustin Mulvey and I have been drawing portraits since the age of eight. Throughout my childhood school years I experimented in different mediums and excelled to the top of my art class. After seven years of service in the US Army, I pursued my passion to be an Artist by enrolling
in college and studying art. I graduated from Black Hills State University in May 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Art, with pencil portraits being my strongest talent. Since graduation I have continued my love for art and continued to draw to help pursue my career as a Portrait Artist.
