A professional artist for over 30 years, Mick B. Harrison has gained a reputation as a prolific and accomplished painter of western and prairie subject matter. Sometimes with humor, always insightful and with professionalism, Harrison's paintings tell a story and reflect the artist's rural upbringing. His recent interest in pleinair (outdoor) painting and oil "studies" using a loose style has proven popular with his collectors.
A founding member of the Artists of the Black Hills, the artist paints from his stuido in Belle Fourche, South Dakota near the Black Hills.
Mick Harrison is influenced by the American artists of the early 20th century. Reflective of his rural roots, Mick uses a direct approach to his subjects.
