Vesta Wells Johnson has been a professional singer for over 30 years. Born in Rapid City, South Dakota, her earliest performances featured her piano playing abilities at local talent shows. This was followed by high school days when she sang and accompanied herself on quitar at many school functions.
A full time singing career began in 1973 with the newly formed band "Everyday People". Throughout the next 3 decades, different incarnations of the band would follow along with name changes. First came "Choozy Music" and then there was "Easy Street". Performances with these bands covered a 10 state area and were as diverse as the many people who became fans throughout the years.
One of Vesta's great gifts is that of versatility. Because she can sing a broad range of styles, a variety of songs were performed...from blues to broadway, pop to rock, folk to funk, and just about everything in between.
After years of travel, Vesta became co-owner of a recording studio in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and began another facet of her musical career. Her voice can be heard on many jingles played regionally and nationally and she has sung back-up on several albums by other artists.
Vesta's voice is versatile and loved by all ages. Her cds make wonderful gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, or any occassion when you want to give the gift of music.
