Liz Rocks
I've always been inspired by and in awe of the beauty nature provides to those who take the time to look for it. My personal favorite bits of beauty are flowers, rocks, and animals.
Flowers reflect all colors and scents imaginable, and can soothe us with their calm beauty. Rocks have witnessed countless eons in time and can spark our imagination with their unique forms, colors, and shapes. Animals can provide and role model companionship, unconditional love, and a simple view on life to help us remember what's important.
In an ongoing search to explore my creative abilities, several years ago I began painting with acrylics, primarily painting flowers and animals on rocks. What better way for me to express enjoyment out of my favorite things could I hope for?
All my rocks are finished with several coats of polyurethane, for ease of cleaning and help in protection from the elements. I have begun exploring other "surfaces" to paint on as well, as you will see as you begin to look further.
