Pauline Brinkmeyer's Dishtowels
Pauline Brinkmeyer Distowels: I grew up in a large family in North Dakota in the late 1930's. I have many memories of dust storms and severe drouths, but my family never went hungry. Most of my siblings and I left home to work after high school instead of pursuing further education. I worked in various jobs until I was able to go back to school and earn a degree in Parish Education after which I took a job as a Parish Worker in Texas. During this time I met my husband, Melvin. We purchased a dry cleaning business in North Dakota to get away from the hot weather in Texas.
We now own and operate NuWay Cleaners in Eureka, SD. I specialize in the seastress work, which I enjoy most. Even as a young girl, I could not wait until my mother would let me use the sewing machine to hem dish towels or sew pillow cases.
Now, as a great-grandmother, I still enjoy keeping busy with needle and thread. In my spare time I especially enjoy embroidering dish towels with various designs and colors. It takes about six hours to complete one towel or fourty plus hours to finish the set of seven.
Only all cotton fabric and flosses are used.
I customize towels with your town name, family name, etc. at no extra cost. This would take several weeks longer to complete. Call for more information.
Please allow two weeks for shipping. Ship by Postal Priority Mail.
