cedar lined hope chest
Description:
This is a cedar lined hope chest. It is made of wood which was grown harvested, milled and dried in South Dakota. The wood used on this chest are hackberry, elm and ash. The cedar lining used in this chest is also from South Dakota. There are polished brass cup handles on each side of the chest. The chest also features a soft close mechanism which holds the lid open and also prvents it from slamming down when closed. The chest is not stained but does have 4 coats of rubbed on varnish. I have left the wood in its original condition so there is one piece that does have some bug damage on it. I sealed the damage off prior to finishing the chest to leave a very natural look to the piece. I also offer this chest in solid black walnut from South Dakota, please contact me for pricing on a walnut piece. The chest is 361/2 inches wide and 17 inches tall. I will customize your order to whatever size or stain that you would like. Just call or email me. The price of the chest does include shipping.
